Our Mission:

“We Believe That Everyone Can Learn and Can Experience Success”.

Aitkin Public School District serves 1300 students over 890 square miles through the cities of Aitkin, Palisade, Glen and Malmo, with 162 employees with 91 licensed staff.

The elementary schools of Palisade and Rippleside offer music, art, and media specialists, a full-time nurse, a computer lab, smaller class sizes, and special education. There are several extra-curricular activities offered to students through the school and the community, such as varsity sports, gymnastics, fine arts and clubs and organizations.

The high school offers many specialized courses including agriculture, business education, foreign languages, and industrial technology.

Parents of students can stay involved in their child’s education by being active in the Palisade School Club, the Rippleside Parent-Teacher Organization, and the Parent Communication Network.

Aitkin Public Schools have held the North Central Accreditation over 76 years, with over $60,000 of scholarship programs awarded yearly.
