May 3-The Great River Strings Spring Concert will be held Saturday, May 3 at the Crosby-Ironton High School Auditorium at 7:30 PM and Sunday, May 4, 2008 at lst Lutheran Church in Aitkin at 2:00 PM. "Scandinavian Sounds" will feature the GRS ("violins") playing selected pieces by Scandinavian composers and The Skal Klubben Spelmanslag ("fiddles") playing traditional and original Scandinavian Folk Music tunes. Both styles will be celebrated as they join together to play a composition written especially for this concert by local composer Arnie Anderson. Come be a part of this "Cutting Edge Celebration"! Adults $5, Seniors/Students $3 and Family $15.

May 17th-Arts in Aitkin-Start your walking art tour through Aitkin beginning a noon in downtown Aitkin.
