January 30 - 2010 Aitkin Jaycees Fishing Contest - 12-3 p.m. at Barnacles Resort on Mille Lacs Lake. Tickets in advance $15.00 and the day of $20.00. Prizes awarded for the top 25 heaviest fish. On-ice raffles for over 100 prizes also. Some prizes include: Artic Cat 4x4 4 wheeler, 42” Flat screen TV, Kayak, Predator Fish House, 2 $500 cash, Lake of the Woods stay, Grand Casino Stay, 2 Ganz’s 5 bird pheasant hunt and motel stay, and many more.
Palisade Mid-Winter Festival, Febuary 6th - Parade at 12 noon. crafts and food at the fire hall from 10 a.m. -3 p.m.; Bethel Lutheran meatball dinner and silent auction beginning at 11 a.m.; adult games; kids' games after the parade, weather permitting; fire truck rides, weather permitting; Assembly of God games and bake sake and a bonfire. The Mountain Men Fort will be open from 3-5 p.m. and a raffle drawing is set for 8 p.m. at Rustic Trail.
Commerce and Sports Show - 2010 Show will be held March 13th & 14th at the Aitkin High School. Free admission. This is a GREAT SHOW! Plan ahead to attend or participate as a business!
