Transcriptions of taped interviews with Aitkin County residents.These interviews were conducted from 1974 to 2000. Many of those interviewed are no longer with us. These transcriptions provide insight into what it was like to live in the Aitkin area as far back as the late 1800s. We have also included a memoir called "Sixty Years of Logging," written by Cecil Winegarner (b. 1902 d. 1991).

We currently have one Aitkin County plat book on file from 1916 in pdf format. (Warning: This link brings up a 58-page document, not a web page.)
