The Aitkin County Historical Society has special exhibits and events planned throughout the year. There is a wide variety of things to see and do for the whole family during the year.

Aitkin County Fair

Visit us at our Air-conditioned Log Museum Located on the S.E. corner of the Fairgrounds, where our faithful volunters disseminate Aitkin County's History. Door prizes given away daily.
August 6th and 7th
2010 Annual Garage Sale
Held at the Aitkin County Fairgrounds, This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Tax deductible garage sale items will be accepted, marked, and stored prior to sale starting NOW. Call for details.

Week of August 16th Pioneer Camp

Pioneer Camp

Children, ages 8-13, will join society staff as they portray Aitkin's first non-Indian family. These are hands-on experiences that help the children learn what it was like to live in Aitkin in the 1870's. Registration forms are available at the Depot.Museum.

Spirit of Christmas/Open House/Cookie Walk/Raffle

Join us as we open our Depot Museum to cookie buyers and guests. Our special Christmas displays created by member and volunteer Jo White are always a treat to see.
