Aitkin County Historical Society's original home, the Log Museum, inching its way along First Avenue NW in October of 1973. The museum originally sat on the southeast corner of the courthouse lawn until it was moved to its present location.. The building was constructed in 1950 using cedar logs from Aitkin County. In its new location, it houses exhibits relating to Aitkin County logging, agriculture and build trades. The building's space was doubled with a new log addition in recent years. |
