Aitkin Public Schools (Independent School District #1) serves students from early childhood through grade 12 in Aitkin and surrounding areas. The district’s mission is to inspire and prepare students with the tools and skills to succeed in an ever-changing world. The district includes Rippleside Elementary (early childhood through grade 6), Aitkin Secondary School (grades 7–12), an Alternative Learning Program, and the Aitkin Children’s Center. Aitkin Public Schools offers a range of academic programs, athletics, extracurricular activities, before- and after-school programming, and support services for students and families.
